When you donate to candidates remember to do three things: HELP THEM - TELL THEM - FOLLOW UP
- HELP THEM: Give money, fundraise for them, volunteer, do a house party, etc.
- TELL THEM: That you are an LGBTQ donor and expect them to pass legislation to bring legal equality.
- FOLLOW UP: After the election, congratulate them and follow up to pass legislation to bring legal equality.
But, more importantly, remind all candidates and all members of Congress and the state legislatures the importance of having accurate, verifiable and auditable elections.
