Endorsement Letter for Matt Entenza for Governor
Donor Robert Brandt writes about his support for Matt Entenza for Governor of Minnesota.
I have known Matt for 15 years and in that time I have known no stronger advocate for equality and justice. Besides his personal friendship, I have had the opportunity to work with Matt in my role as Governor of the Human Rights Campaign. He served numerous years as an honorary member of the Human Right Campaign celebration in the Minneapolis and Saint Paul. Matt has been a consistent and passionate voice for fairness and decency his whole life. He is and was an ally during the many tough fights against defense of marriage legislation and countered the hate speech of DOMA supporters with conviction and reason.
From fighting for desegregated schools in Mississippi to a constitutional amendment for women's rights to co-authoring a bill for marriage equality, Matt has always stood up for the right of everyone to be counted equally.
I have supported Matt as a legislator and was one of the first on board in his campaign for Governor. As governor Matt will never bend in his commitment to ensuring that everyone has the same rights and opportunities as everyone else. I strongly endorse Matt Entenza for Governor of the state of Minnesota.
