Elections 2008 Conference Calls

Check eQualityGiving's comprehensive series of Elections 2008 conference calls with equality leaders...

This series of calls covered our top giving priorities and it was the most comprehensive set of calls available anywhere.
- The Presidency
- Constitutional amendments in California, Florida, and Arizona
- Endorsed Candidates

We had conference calls with the Endorsed Candidates that you voted on our website that you wanted to hear the most from.

As always, your information is kept confidential from the speakers. So there will be no calls to ask you to donate money. We provide a safe space for donors.

ELECTIONS 2008 CONFERENCE CALLS SERIES

Friday, September 12, 2008  - 1:30 pm to 2:00 pm EDT (10:30 am to 11:00 am PDT)
THE PRESIDENCY: Andrew Tobias, Treasurer of the DNC will discuss what we are doing to win the White House.

Tuesday, September 16, 2008  - 2:30 pm to 3:00 pm EDT (11:30 am to noon PDT)
ENDORSED CANDIDATE: Betsy Markey (D-CO), an eQualityGiving Endorsed Candidate that our poll showed that you wanted to hear from. Betsy is pro-equality and is running against Marilyn Musgrave, the infamous author and promoter of the Federal Marriage Amendment. Marilyn Musgrave is our #2 candidate to be defeated (after McCain).

Friday, September 19, 2008 - 11:00 am to 11:45 am EDT (8:00 am to 8:45 am PDT)
CONSTITUTIONAL AMENDMENTS: Discussion of the three constitutional amendments on the ballot in November with:
Geoff Kors, Executive Director of Equality California and Executive Committee Member of Vote No On Prop 8 campaign in California.
Jon Kislak, Chair Florida Red & Blue and Chair of Say No 2 campaign in Florida.
Kyrsten Sinema, Member Arizona House of Representatives and Chair of the Arizona Together campaign in Arizona.

Tuesday, September 23, 2008 - 5:00 pm to 5:30 pm EDT (2:00 pm to 2:30 pm PDT)
ENDORSED CANDIDATE: Nick Carter (D-WY). Nick is totally pro-equality and is running for US Senator from Wyoming. He is neck to neck with the Republican opponent (who was never elected). This is a *senate* seat that we can pick up with little money.

Friday, September 26, 2008 - 2:30 pm to 3:00 pm EDT (11:30 am to noon PDT)
ENDORSED CANDIDATE: Linda Ketner (D-SC). Linda would be the second openly Lesbian member of Congress. Her dedication to equality and our movement has been extraordinary. For years, she has been a very generous donor to equality in South Carolina and across the country. Now, it is our turn to help her out. She has been a member of the advisory board of eQualityGiving since our founding.
