Discussion Network Guidelines

  1. FOCUS ON DONORS
    > Recommend and discuss giving strategies for LGBTQ equality
    > No fundraising (but there are very rare exceptions)

  2. HIGH-QUALITY, ORIGINAL CONTENT
    > Post thought-provoking ideas and new information
    > No foul language or personal attacks

  3.  HIGH-QUALITY INSTEAD OF HIGH-FREQUENCY
    > You do not have to respond to each posting!
    > Just saying "I agree" is not enough (except if you are a policymaker)
    > Post new insights instead of restating the same point

  4. OUTSIDE CONTENT
    > Links to articles in www.eQualityGiving.org are very appropriate
    > Your own Op-Ed published somewhere else is also appropriate
    > Other articles can be included only if you add your own original analysis
    > No press releases

  5. CONFIDENTIALITY
    > Keep the contents of the emails confidential and outside the press and blogs

  6. ANONYMOUS POSTINGS
    > Sign all postings with your name or use a consistent alias
    > If you use an alias, understand that many readers will not place the same value to your comments
    > Even if you use an alias, your identity is known to the moderators
    > Total confidentiality can never be assured in an electronic world

The discussion is moderated by eQualityGiving to ensure adherence to these guidelines. Please contact us with any questions related to these guidelines or if you believe that these guidelines are not being followed in a specific discussion.
