More is that she is a pro-marriage equality young mother... all of 27 years old... and a CPA and a triathlete... running (and swimming and biking?), baby in her arms, to unseat a conservative Republican in the first Congressional district of Virginia. And she comes across so well, she even has the Sarah Palin crowd excited. Really. "We haven't been this excited about a candidate since Sarah Palin," writes one local NBC commentator, "and we're already looking up foreclosed homes in the first district so we can vote Krystal Ball in 2010, no matter what her stance on gay marriage is." (You can read the full column here: Krystal Ball -- the Future of The Hill's Most Beautiful.) We had lunch, Krystal, her husband and I, and it became quickly apparent she is "in it for the right reasons" and just actually might win. I'll let her website video do the rest of the talking. For my part, I was sufficiently impressed to make my own investment in her race. I commend to you the link above, which, in turn, links to the rest.
